Buns

Ingredients:

  1. Maida/All purpose flour - about 3 cups
  2. Bananas - 3
  3. Jeera - 1 tsp
  4. Sugar or Jaggery - 2 tbsp
  5. Salt - little
  6. Oil or Butter

Method:

1. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas.  Add sugar, Jeera, little salt.  Mix till sugar dissolves.
2. Now add all purpose flour in small amounts as much the bananas can hold.  You can also add 1/4 tsp baking soda if you       like the buns more fluffy.  The dough will be sticky because of bananas. Use 1 tbsp oil and mix the dough well.  Add oil or      butter generously if you want tasty buns.  Keep the dough covered overnight in a warm place.
3. After fermentation, the dough will slightly darken. Mix it once again.
4. Make small balls of the dough and roll into thick puris using flour.
5. Deep fry these in hot oil till nice brown.
6. Serve Buns with coconut chutney or potato bhaji.
