Ukdo Ambo | Boiled & Salted Raw Mango


- 6 Raw mangoes (we have used Kale ishad)
- 1 Cup Rock salt or normal salt


- Boil water in a vessel and add 1 cup rock salt or normal salt.
- Once the water starts boiling add the cleaned raw mangoes into this and cook for 5 minutes until they change colour.
- Allow it to cool down and then preserve them in air tight containers. They can be stored for an year or more.

Special Tips:

It can be stored for 1 or 2 years and can be used to prepare akdo ambya gojju or can be eaten as it is with rice as side dish.
