Ingredients:
Ivy Gourd - 250 gms
Mustard seeds- 1 tea spoon
Hing/Asafoetida- 1/2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon
Chilli powder - 1 tea spoon
tamarind pulp - 1/2 cup
1 big spoon liquid jaggery or jaggery powder
salt to taste
Oil 2 tea spoon
Preparation:
* Wash and cut the edges of ivy gourd and smash them as shown in the video.
* Cook ivy gourd in a pressure cooker with 1/2 cup water and salt for 2 whistles.
* Heat 2 spoon oil and add mustard seeds.
* Add in mustard seeds, hing/asafoetida, turmeric powder, chilli powder, tamarind pulp and jaggery.
* Mix all well and add cooked ivy gourd with water.
* Cook this mixture to become thick in consistency.
