Ingredients:
* Sugarcane pieces 1 bowl
* Sweet potato 1
* Grated coconut 1 big cup
* Jaggery as per taste
* Salt as per taste
* Dry chilies 7-8
* Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon
* Tamarind small size
* Coriander seeds 1 tea spoon
* Mustard seeds and Urad daal 1 tea spoon each
* Asafoetida (hing) small size
* Curry leaves
* oil 2 table spoon
Preparation:
* For masala roast coriander seeds and dry chilies in some oil
* In a mixi jaar add grated coconut, fried items, haldi/turmeric, tamarind and some water to grind coarse paste. Keep it aside
* In a kadai heat oil and add mustard seeds and urad daal for tempering
* Next add asafoetida and curry leaves
* Now add in sugar cane pieces and fry for a minute
* add little water , cover and cook for 7-8 minutes
* After 8 minutes add sweet potato pieces and cook till sweet potato cooks
* Once it cooks add prepared masala, jaggery salt and some water. mix well and cook for another 5 minutes

sweet potato is optional.
