Kulavis

Are the followers of a Kuladevatha from time immemorial? One individual and his family members have constant touch with their Kuladevatha temple for various reasons related to faith. It is believed that your problems, sufferings, gains, fortune etc are due to the grace/anger of your Kuladevatha. It is believed that a Kulavi submits himself to Kuladevatha to over come his problems what he faces. The Kuladevatha comes to his rescue. Thus his faith will be that by the worship of Kuladevatha, one”s problems are resolved. Kulavi offers Kanike (money) on regular basis, or on good occasions and after fulfillment of his wishes. He makes a pilgrim (yatra) to his Kuladevatha temple and submits this kanike, conducts some sevas, takes prasadam (ashirvad) and comes back home with full confidence that his Kuladevatha protects him and gives him good fortune (bhagya)
